The Real Bottom Line (Not The AI Version)
Here’s what I’d tell a friend:
If you’re under $1,000: Buy a Garmin R10 ($599) and a cheap net. Total cost: $799. Add GSPro ($250/yr). Over 5 years, you’re at $2,300. That’s stealing. You can’t play 18 holes at a real course for that.
If you have $2,000-3,000: Buy a SkyTrak+ ($1,995) or Square Golf Omni ($1,599). Get a Carl’s Place enclosure ($1,200), a Fiberbuilt mat ($500), and a BenQ projector ($1,300). Use GSPro ($250/yr). Your 5-year TCO is $5,700-5,900. This is the best value in simulator golf, and I’ll die on that hill.
If you have $5,000-6,000: Buy the GC3 ($5,249) instead of the BLP. No subscription. Better resale. Your 5-year TCO with GSPro is $7,250, but your resale value at year 3-4 is $3,500+. Your effective cost is closer to $4,000 for 4 years of premium golf.
If you’re looking at packages: Read the fine print. A $7,999 package with three years of included software is a different deal than the same package with a 30-day trial. Our package buying guide has the full breakdown.
The sticker price is a lie. But the lie works both ways. Once you know the real numbers, you can build a simulator that fits your actual budget — not just your credit card limit.
Your garage is sitting there. Winter is coming. The math works.
