Setup Tips for the Best Experience
The LIDAR build of Muirfield Village works best with medium-to-fast green speeds in your GSPro settings. The greens are large but have subtle tiers and breaks that reward good approach shots. Nicklaus designed the greens to accept a high, soft-landing shot — if you’re hitting low screamers into these greens, you’re going to have a bad time.
For the best visual experience, I recommend running the course at High or Ultra quality settings. The tree-lined corridors and rolling terrain really shine at higher detail levels.
How It Compares to Other Platforms
Muirfield Village is available on E6 Connect as a premium course and on TGC 2019 as a community build. The GSPro LIDAR version sits somewhere in the middle — better than the TGC 2019 version visually, but without the professional scanning detail of the E6 version. That said, for the $250/year GSPro subscription, it’s excellent value. You get a playable, accurate version of a Tour-caliber course without any extra fees.
