**Can you play Torrey Pines South on TruGolf Apogee?** Yes — but through E6 Connect. The TruGolf Apogee runs E6 software only, and Torrey Pines South is available as a premium add-on in the E6 Course Library. The cliffside par 3s, Pacific Ocean views, and full 7,800-yard layout are included. Requires the E6 Connect Course Library upgrade ($1,000) plus the Torrey Pines premium add-on (~$25).

Can You Play Torrey Pines South on TruGolf Apogee? Here’s How

Torrey Pines South is a municipal golf course that plays like a championship venue. It is the only muni to host a U.S. Open. It is 7,800 yards from the tips. It sits on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. And on the TruGolf Apogee, you can play it through E6 Connect.

How to Access Torrey Pines on the Apogee

Same story as every premium course on the Apogee. You need the E6 Connect Course Library upgrade ($1,000 one-time). Torrey Pines South is a premium add-on within that library at roughly $25. Total on top of hardware: $1,025.

The Apogee ecosystem is simple. E6 is the only option. You either buy the Course Library upgrade and access all premium courses, or you stay on the base E6 library. Torrey Pines South is only available in the premium tier.

How Torrey Pines Plays on E6 Through the Apogee

The 3rd hole is the iconic one. The cliffside par 3 that plays toward the Pacific Ocean. On E6 Connect, this hole looks excellent. The ocean rendering is high quality — the water has movement, the cliffs are textured, and the visual depth makes the carry look intimidating. E6’s version of Torrey Pines South is one of the platform’s best ocean hole experiences.

The length is the second feature. Torrey Pines South is a monster from the back tees. E6’s yardage calculations are accurate, so the 570-yard 18th hole plays every inch of that distance. The fairway slopes right to left, and the decision to go for the green in two or lay up is the same decision the pros face at the Farmers Insurance Open.

The iconic Torrey Pines trees are present. The wind-sculpted cypress trees that line the fairways are rendered with enough detail to be recognizable. On E6’s visual engine, these trees look better than on mobile sim platforms but not as detailed as GSPro’s photorealistic builds.

The greens are large and firm. Torrey Pines South has some of the most undulating putting surfaces on any PGA Tour venue. E6’s green physics handle the large contours well. The 12th green, which sits across a canyon, has the right curvature and break.

The Apogee Difference

The Apogee handles the length of Torrey Pines well. When you hit a driver on the 18th hole, the overhead tracking captures the club speed, face angle, and path. The ball flight on E6 shows the full carry and roll. The integration between the Apogee’s sensor data and E6’s physics engine is seamless enough that the long holes play correctly.

Voice commands make a difference on a long course. “Set wind to 12 mph on the back nine.” “Load the 3rd hole for a practice shot.” The course loads faster, the condition changes happen without menu navigation, and you spend more time hitting balls and less time in menus.

The Value Question

Torrey Pines South on E6 is a great version of the course. The ocean holes look good. The length is accurate. The greens are challenging. But the price of access is hard to justify when you compare it to other platforms.

On Awesome Golf, Torrey Pines South is included with a $199 annual subscription. On GSPro, it is a community build available for the $15 monthly SGT fee. On the Apogee, you pay $1,000 for the Course Library upgrade plus $25 for the course itself.

If you already own an Apogee and the Course Library upgrade, Torrey Pines South is worth the $25 add-on. If you are buying the Apogee fresh and Torrey Pines is the course you want, reconsider your platform choice.
