Notes on the Dye’s Valley Course
The Dye’s Valley Course opened in 1987 as a companion to the Stadium Course. It is a more traditional Pete Dye design — tree-lined, with smaller greens and tighter fairways than its famous sibling. It has hosted the Web.com Tour Championship and is a popular second course for PLAYERS Championship week.
On simulators, the Dye’s Valley Course is available primarily through community builds. The GSPro LiDAR version is the best option — it accurately captures the course’s tight, demanding character and the elevated greens that define Dye’s design philosophy. The TGC 2019 community version is also available but less detailed.
Why so limited? The Dye’s Valley Course does not have the same licensing value as the Stadium Course for simulator platforms. The official licensing deals (E6, Trackman, FSX Play, Full Swing, Golfzon) focus on the Stadium Course because it is the one that drives subscription sales. If you want to play the Valley Course, GSPro is your best bet.
How to Play TPC Sawgrass on a Budget Simulator
The Stadium Course is one of the most accessible premium courses for budget sim golfers. Here is why:
Option 1: Garmin R10 + GSPro ($850 total)

If you already own a compatible launch monitor (Uneekor, SkyTrak, Foresight), you can buy TGC 2019 outright for about $100 and get its community Stadium Course version with no ongoing subscription. The quality is not GSPro-level, but it is a perfectly playable experience.

The island green 17th is the reason most people want to play TPC Sawgrass on a simulator. Here is how each platform handles it:

The key insight: On every platform, the 17th hole plays differently because of how each software handles the water penalty. On Trackman, if you spin the ball too much and it lands short, the physics engine will correctly show it bouncing once before rolling into the water. On GSPro’s community version, the ball is more likely to plug and stay dry. Know your platform’s physics before you gamble.

Your choice depends on your hardware, budget, and what matters most to you in the experience:
Choose Trackman Virtual Golf if: You own a Trackman and want the most authentic, penal TPC Sawgrass experience. The 17th hole on Trackman is the closest thing to the real thing without a plane ticket to Jacksonville.
Choose FSX Play if: You own a Foresight launch monitor and care about graphics and putting physics. FSX Play’s TPC Sawgrass is a visual masterpiece, and the green-reading tool will help you navigate the Stadium Course’s complex greens.

Choose TGC 2019 if: You already own it and want to avoid a subscription. The community version is playable but not a perfect representation of the course’s difficulty.

TPC Sawgrass (Stadium Course) is one of the most widely available premium courses across golf simulator platforms — and it is one of the best courses to play on a simulator. The target-golf nature of Pete Dye’s design translates perfectly to the digital medium: precise carry distances, spin control, and the nerve to hit a 9-iron to a tiny green in a lake are all skills that simulators measure faithfully.
Only the budget-native software platforms (Home Tee Hero, Rapsodo Course Play, Awesome Golf) lack the Stadium Course entirely. But as with Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, you can work around the limitation by connecting your hardware to GSPro.
For most home sim golfers, the GSPro community LiDAR version (v2.0) is the sweet spot — excellent quality, one of the best course designs in the library, and compatibility with virtually every launch monitor on the market. For commercial operators and Trackman/Foresight owners, the officially licensed versions from E6 Connect, Trackman Virtual Golf, and FSX Play each bring unique strengths.
One final note: if you are the kind of person who hits a perfect 9-iron to 6 feet on the 17th hole, pauses, and says “I meant to do that,” you are going to love TPC Sawgrass on a simulator. If you chunk it into the water, take a drop, and chunk another one into the water — congratulations, you are experiencing the course exactly as Pete Dye intended.
