The front nine at Tralee plays through the dunes, with the ocean appearing and disappearing as the routing winds through the terrain. The 3rd hole, a 380-yard par 4 that plays from an elevated tee to a fairway that falls away toward the green, is the first Palmer signature. The green sits on a natural shelf, and approach shots that land short feed back toward the fairway.
The back nine is where Tralee reveals its true character. The 10th hole is a 530-yard par 5 that plays along the edge of Tralee Bay with the ocean on your left for the entire hole.
