July 31 Deal Expiration: What to Buy Before Sim Prices Jump
GEO Target: United States — deal pricing applies to US retailers (PlayBetter, Shop Indoor Golf, Best Buy, Indoor Golf Outlet, Elite Sim).
July 31 is shaping up as a mini-cliff for summer golf simulator deals. Multiple promos — some legitimate, some just FOMO — are set to expire. Here’s what’s actually worth buying before the end of the month.
July 31 Deal Expiration: The Deals Set to Expire
SkyTrak ST MAX at $1,995 ✅ — Worth Buying
The SkyTrak ST MAX at $1,995 is the real story here. This is NOT the Deal Days promo that expired July 20 — that was $1,995 during Deal Days at Shop Indoor Golf. This is a new, separate deal at the same price point from different retailers. Multiple resellers are listing the ST MAX at $1,995 as an active promotion.
At $1,995, the ST MAX is a legitimate budget overhead launch monitor with dual-doppler radar in a ceiling-mount form factor. It’s not a GC3 competitor, but it’s the cheapest overhead LM that works with GSPro without subscription stacking. If you’re building a sub-$3K sim, this is the LM to buy.
Verdict: Buy. The $1,995 price point for a ceiling-mounted LM with GSPro compatibility is hard to beat. Verify the end date with your retailer — some may extend into August.
Foresight GC3 — $1,000 Off at Indoor Golf Outlet ✅ — Worth It
Indoor Golf Outlet is running $1,000 off the Foresight GC3 as a summer promo. At $6,999 (down from $7,999), the GC3 is the most proven camera-based launch monitor in the mid-range. It’s the same optical sensor array as the GCQuad in a smaller package with 16 data points, FSX software, and GSPro compatibility.
The GC3 doesn’t go on sale often. Foresight controls pricing tightly. A $1,000 discount is rare — we tracked this as the deepest GC3 discount of 2026 so far.
Verdict: Buy if you have $7K and want tournament-validated accuracy without the $20K QuadMAX price tag. This is the best mid-range camera LM deal of the summer.
Elite Sim Freedom 250 — Code FREE ❌ — Only If You Need It
Elite Sim is offering the Freedom 250 hitting net at no cost (code FREE) for July. The Freedom 250 is a 10×7 impact screen on a freestanding frame — solid entry-level option but not a premium product.
Verdict: Free is free. If you need a basic hitting net, grab it. But don’t buy a launch monitor just because of this deal — the net is secondary.
PlayBetter Summer Sale: Extended Through Late July ⚠️ — July 31 Deal Verification
PlayBetter’s summer sale has been running since mid-June with multiple extensions. Current pricing: SkyTrak+ at $1,495 (clearance — 113 units remaining per our last check), ST MAX at $1,995, Complete Studio at $3,995. These have been “about to end” since July 15 and keep getting extended.
Verdict: Worth the price, not worth FOMO. The SkyTrak+ clearance at $1,495 IS real — once those units sell out, the Plus is gone forever (discontinued). Buy the SkyTrak+ if you want it. Don’t stress about the end date.
Garmin R50 at Best Buy — $3,449 ❌ EXPIRED July 27
The Garmin Approach R50 Best Buy deal ($550 off) expired July 27. The R50 is back to $3,999 MSRP. Garmin R50 deals are rare — the next window is likely Labor Day or Black Friday.
Verdict: Missed this one. Watch for Labor Day sales (late August / early September).
July 31 Deals: What NOT to Buy Just Because It’s “On Sale”
- Uneekor AI Studio bundles — The Independence Day sale already ended July 7. Current pricing is regular: AI Studio at $5,999, EYE XO at $7,999, EYE XO2 at $10,999. Don’t buy thinking you’re getting a deal.
- Subscription bundles — Some retailers are pushing “year of GSPro free” with launch monitor purchases. GSPro is $250/year. That’s $250 of value, not $1,000. Don’t let it drive the decision.
- Accessories you don’t need — July sales push hitting mats, projector mounts, and screen material. Only buy if you actually need it for a build in progress.
The Real Calendar: What’s Next After July 31
- Labor Day Sales (late August / early September) — Historically the biggest sim deal window outside Black Friday. For timing strategies, see our best time to buy a golf simulator guide. Foresight, Garmin, and SkyTrak all participate.
- Back to School / Fall (September) — Not a major sim deal window, but indoor golf content season begins. New product announcements from Garmin, Rapsodo, and Uneekor expected.
- Black Friday (November) — Deepest discounts of the year. If you can wait, wait.
- The SkyTrak+ Clock — The remaining ~113 units could sell out at any time. This is the only true scarcity signal in the current deal landscape.
July 31 Deal Expiration: The Bottom Line
| Deal | Price | Expires | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| SkyTrak ST MAX | $1,995 | Jul 31 (verify) | ✅ Buy |
| Foresight GC3 | $6,999 ($1K off) | Jul 31 | ✅ Buy |
| Elite Sim Freedom 250 | Free (code FREE) | Jul 31 | ✅ If you need a net |
| PlayBetter Summer Sale | Various | Extended | ✅ SkyTrak+ at $1,495 |
| Garmin R50 Best Buy | $3,449 | ❌ EXPIRED Jul 27 | Wait for Labor Day |
| Uneekor AI Studio | Regular price | N/A | ❌ No deal |
The July 31 deals are real but selective. The ST MAX at $1,995 and GC3 at $1K off are the two to act on. Everything else falls into “nice to have” territory. If you’re building a sim this summer and don’t want to wait until Black Friday, July 31 is your exit ramp.
