What is Uneekor AIMY? AIMY is a conversational AI training platform for Uneekor launch monitors that adds real-time voice-activated swing coaching, 3D full-body motion tracking, LLM-generated performance reports, and structured training programs on top of the existing AI Trainer system. It’s launching Summer 2026 (any day now) as a software update inside Uneekor’s VIEW platform. It works with the Eye Mini, Eye Mini Lite, Eye XR, Eye XO, and Eye XO2 — plus it requires Swing Optix cameras for the video analysis.
Uneekor announced AIMY at the 2026 PGA Show back in January. They said it was coming Summer 2026. It’s July 30. The window is closing.
AIMY is a fundamentally different approach to how a simulator coaches you, beyond what the existing AI Trainer does. The current system analyzes 60+ swing checkpoints and gives you a Swing Score. It’s a really good automated checklist — here’s where your swing broke, here’s what to fix, here’s your number.
AIMY adds a voice you can talk to, a 3D model of your body that tracks your pelvis and torso rotation, an LLM that writes you a performance report at the end of every session, and structured training programs that adapt as you improve. That’s the difference between a scorecard and a conversation.
And Uneekor is the first company to ship this inside a home simulator. TrackMan has Tracy and 3D Motion Analysis, but those require a TrackMan Performance Studio setup that costs more than most people’s cars. Foresight has nothing comparable. Garmin doesn’t do AI coaching at all. The $199 Shot Scope doesn’t even try.
If AIMY ships this summer as promised, Uneekor will have the most sophisticated AI coaching system ever released for a home golf simulator. Period.
How the Current AI Trainer Works (and What It Misses)
The existing AI Trainer, which launched in late 2025 and has been rolling out through 2026, is a solid product. It’s worth understanding what it does before we talk about what AIMY adds.
AI Trainer lives inside Uneekor’s VIEW software — the same app you use to hit balls, run drills, and play courses. It requires the Swing Optix cameras: two high-speed units that sit on tripods and capture your swing from face-on and down-the-line angles. These are not the same cameras inside the launch monitor itself. The launch monitor (Eye XR, Eye XO, or Eye XO2) sits on the ceiling and captures club and ball data from above. The Swing Optix cameras sit on the ground and capture video of your body. The AI combines both data streams into one analysis.
When you hit a shot, AI Trainer evaluates 60+ swing checkpoints in under five seconds. Setup, takeaway, wrist hinge at the top of the backswing, hip rotation in the downswing, early extension, impact position, follow-through. Each checkpoint gets a green check or a red X. You get a Swing Score (0-100) that trends over time. If you keep early-extending, the red checkpoints pile up in that category and the system flags it as a priority issue.
This is useful. Most golfers don’t know what’s wrong with their swing — they know the ball went right, but they don’t know why. AI Trainer connects the dots: “Your club path was 4 degrees out-to-in AND your hips stalled at the top of the downswing. Fix the hips first.” That’s actionable in a way that “you have a slice” is not.
The limitation is that it’s a passive analysis tool. You hit a shot. It tells you what happened. That’s it. There’s no back-and-forth. There’s no “what if I try this?” There’s no sense that the system is learning your tendencies across sessions and tailoring its recommendations to your specific swing faults.
That’s where AIMY comes in.
What AIMY Actually Adds
AIMY is not a replacement for AI Trainer. It’s a layer on top. The same data flows in — club data from the overhead launch monitor, swing video from the Swing Optix cameras, ball flight data from the photometric sensors. But instead of just spitting out a score and a list of checkpoints, AIMY adds five capabilities:
Conversational voice interface. You can talk to AIMY. “What did I do wrong on that last shot?” “Why am I slicing my driver today?” “What should I work on this session?” AIMY answers in natural language, referencing your actual swing data. This sounds gimmicky until you’ve spent an hour hitting balls in silence interrupted only by beeps from your launch monitor. Being able to ask a question and get an answer without stopping to read a screen changes the rhythm of practice.
3D body-aware analysis. This is the big one. AI Trainer looked at swing checkpoints — specific positions in your swing that the system could flag as good or bad. AIMY builds a 3D skeleton model of your body from the Swing Optix video and tracks how your pelvis and torso move through the entire swing. It measures rotation, lateral movement, sequencing — the things a human coach watches when they stand behind you and say “you’re spinning out” or “your weight is stuck on your back foot.”
LLM-powered performance reports. At the end of every session, AIMY writes you a summary. Not a spreadsheet — a paragraph. “You hit 47 drives today. Your average club speed was 104 mph, up 2 mph from last session. But your face angle is getting more closed as you get tired — the last 10 shots averaged 3 degrees closed, which is why your misses started drawing left.” This is the kind of observation a good coach would make after watching you hit balls for an hour. AIMY makes it from data alone.
Structured training programs. Instead of just analyzing your shots, AIMY gives you a curriculum. “Work on these three checkpoints this week. Here’s a drill for each one. Hit 30 balls on drill one before you move on.” The program adapts based on your results. If you fix one issue, AIMY moves you to the next. If you’re struggling, it modifies the drill.
Multi-device access. The same AIMY profile works across your Uneekor simulator, your PC, and eventually mobile devices. Your training history follows you.
How the Price Stacks Up
AI Trainer costs $99/year after the first year. That first year is included when you buy any Uneekor launch monitor with a Studio Package (which includes the Swing Optix cameras). The Studio Packages — now rebranded as AI Studio — start at $5,999 for the Eye XR bundle, $7,999 for the Eye XO, and $10,999 for the Eye XO2.
AIMY pricing hasn’t been announced yet. If it ships as a free update for existing AI Trainer subscribers, that’s a massive value add. If it’s a premium tier at $199/year or $299/year, it’s still cheaper than a single lesson at most instructors.
A single hour-long golf lesson costs $75-$150. If AIMY helps you practice better for even one session a week, it pays for itself in two months. The question isn’t whether $99/year is expensive. It’s whether AI coaching is actually as good as a human coach — and on three dimensions, it wins.
Availability. AIMY is in your simulator at 6 AM or 11 PM with no booking required. You’re not driving to the range or waiting for the pro to finish with the guy before you.
Consistency. AIMY applies the same analysis framework to every swing, every day, without fatigue from a human coach who gets tired, has bad days, and misses things.
Volume. AIMY evaluates every shot you hit, not just the subset you’d show a coach. There’s no performance anxiety — you hit bad shots, the system analyzes them, you learn from them.
The one thing a human coach does better is feel. A good coach watches you swing and has an intuition about what’s wrong that goes beyond the data. AIMY can’t replicate that. But it doesn’t have to. The best training setup is a human coach for direction and AIMY for reps.
Where This Leaves Everyone Else
TrackMan has Tracy (their AI swing analysis tool) and 3D Motion Analysis in TPS 10.3. Tracy analyzes swing data and provides insights. 3D Motion Analysis does markerless full-body tracking with 26 data parameters. On paper, TrackMan’s feature set matches AIMY’s. In practice, you’re paying $20,000+ for a TrackMan 4 or TrackMan iO, plus annual software subscriptions that run into the thousands. The AI features are included, but the hardware cost puts it out of reach for almost everyone.
Foresight Sports has nothing comparable. The GC3 and GCQuad are exceptional launch monitors, among the most accurate in the world. But Foresight’s software strategy has been to focus on simulation fidelity (FSX Play, FSX 2020) rather than coaching intelligence. There’s no Foresight equivalent of AI Trainer or AIMY. If you buy a GC3 today, you get excellent data and beautiful course graphics. You don’t get an AI coach that watches your body move and tells you what to fix.
Garmin doesn’t do AI coaching at all. The R10 and R50 are hardware platforms that third-party apps can plug into. The Garmin approach is “we build the launch monitor, someone else builds the AI.” That’s a valid strategy, but it means the AI experience is fragmented across different apps with different data models and different quality levels.
Full Swing went the gambling route with Skill Strike, which is AI but not coaching AI. Arccos went the wearable route with its Meta glasses integration. BirdieSense is building dedicated AI coaching hardware, but it’s not a simulator — it’s a separate device you take to the range.
Uneekor is the only company building a complete AI coaching system inside a simulator at a price point under $10,000. If AIMY delivers what it promised at the PGA Show, that lead is going to be hard to catch.
Is This Actually Worth Buying?
If you already own an Uneekor overhead monitor with Swing Optix cameras, AIMY is the best upgrade you can make to your simulator in 2026. It’s a software upgrade that changes how you interact with your own data — the leap from “here’s your Swing Score” to “here’s what to work on, here’s why, and here’s a drill to fix it” is the difference between a diagnostic tool and a coach.
If you don’t own an Uneekor yet, the AI story is a real reason to consider one. Not the only reason — the Eye XO2 is a phenomenal launch monitor regardless of what software runs on top of it. But the AI coaching layer is a differentiator that no other brand at this price point matches.
If you’re on a budget and trying to decide between an Uneekor with AI Trainer and a cheaper setup (R10, MLM2Pro, Square Golf), the math is simple. The Uneekor costs more. It also gives you more. Whether that extra cost is worth it depends on how much you value having a system that actively coaches you versus one that passively reports data.
For me, the answer is clear. I’ve spent too many hours hitting balls on a launch monitor that told me my club speed but couldn’t tell me why my slice was worse with the driver than the 7-iron. AIMY closes that gap. It’s the closest thing to a coach that can live in your garage and never charge you by the hour.
