Swing Check

Point your phone. Take a swing. Get instant feedback on your tempo, spine angle, hip rotation, and estimated swing speed.

No sensors. No hardware. No subscription. Just your phone camera and some AI running in your browser.

How It Works

Works in Safari on iPhone. No download needed. Your video never leaves your phone — all processing happens in your browser.

How to Use It

1

Position Your Phone

Set your phone 6-8 feet away, at chest height, perpendicular to your target line. Landscape mode works best. Make sure your full body is visible from head to knees. Prop it against a water bottle, range bucket, or tripod — whatever works.

2

Address the Ball

Stand at address and hold still for a second. The AI locks in your address position — spine angle, hip line, shoulder line. Once it says "Swing when ready," take your normal swing.

3

Get Instant Feedback

The app tracks your swing in real-time — backswing, top, downswing, impact, and follow-through. It calculates tempo, spine angle, hip and shoulder rotation, head stability, and an estimated swing speed. All in your browser, in about two seconds.

The Honest Truth

This is not a replacement for a launch monitor. It's a free tool that gives you a rough snapshot of your swing from a single camera angle. That's it.

What it can do reasonably well: measure your tempo (the ratio of backswing to downswing time), check your spine angle at address, estimate how much your hips and shoulders rotate, and tell you if your head is staying still through impact.

What it can't do: measure ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, or carry distance. Those require radar or multiple high-speed cameras. The swing speed estimate is rough — within maybe 10-15 mph of reality on a good day.

If you're just starting out and want to check whether your tempo is in the ballpark, this tool helps. If you're dialing in your distances and need precise numbers, you need a real launch monitor. We review those too.
