Foresight Premiere: Next-Gen Sim Software Previewed

Foresight’s next-generation sim software has a name: Premiere.

Previewed at the 2026 PGA Show, Premiere is the first major software overhaul under Revelyst. It’s a ground-up rebuild, not a reskin of FSX Play.

What’s New

Rebuilt physics engine. This is the headline. Foresight claims the new engine more accurately models ball flight, turf interaction, and spin decay — closing the gap with GSPro’s simulation fidelity while keeping Foresight’s trademark polish.

Redesigned UI. Completely reworked interface. Early previews show a cleaner, more modern layout with better data visualization.

Late 2026 release. No firm date yet. The PGA Show preview was a technology preview. Current expectation is Q4 2026.

What This Means

Foresight is shifting from hardware-first to software-as-retention. The hardware (GC3, QuadMAX) is the entry point. The software is the moat.

Premiere is a bet that sim golfers will pay for a premium software experience. For current Foresight owners, the upgrade path is unclear — free update, paid upgrade, or subscription? Foresight hasn’t detailed pricing yet.

Why It Matters

Foresight has the largest installed base of premium launch monitors in home sims. If Premiere delivers on the physics promise, it keeps users inside Foresight’s walled garden instead of drifting to GSPro.

The question is whether Premiere is good enough to make FSX Play users stop dual-running GSPro. That’s a high bar. We’ll have a full preview when the beta drops.

The Competitive Landscape

Premiere arrives at a moment when the sim software market is fragmenting. GSPro has become the dominant third-party option with 4,000+ community courses and broad hardware compatibility. E6 Connect maintains a strong following with its licensed course library. Awesome Golf has carved out the iPad/casual segment at $199/year. And TrackMan Performance Studio remains the gold standard for accuracy, locked to TrackMan hardware.

Foresight’s strategy with Premiere is clear: build a software experience good enough that users stay in the ecosystem rather than buying a Foresight GC3 and running GSPro on top of it. The $499/year subscription for GSPro access on Foresight hardware is already a source of friction — Premiere needs to make users forget about that charge entirely.
