GOLF+

News, updates, and coverage of the VR golf platform that is quietly changing how we think about sim golf. GOLF+ on Meta Quest delivers 40+ real courses, the best putting in any sim software, and a standalone sim platform coming in 2027 that does not need a gaming PC. Exclusive Royal Birkdale rights. Mixed reality. Multiplayer that actually works.

Who Is GOLF+?

GOLF+ is a VR golf platform for Meta Quest headsets that has quietly become the most enjoyable way to play golf indoors. Not the most accurate — that is still GSPro with a GC3. Not the most courses — GSPro has 4,000. But the most enjoyable. The combination of VR immersion, mixed reality putting that actually works, and multiplayer that feels like you are at a real range makes GOLF+ the social sim platform that GSPro and E6 have never managed to be. The VR experience is the differentiator. You put on a Quest 3 headset, and you are standing on the tee box at Pebble Beach. Not looking at a screen — standing on the course. The depth perception is real. The elevation changes feel real. The wind rustling through the virtual trees (okay, that part is your imagination) completes the picture. For anyone who has hit balls into a screen and thought "this feels like hitting into a screen" — GOLF+ VR is the antidote.

In July 2026, GOLF+ announced a standalone sim software platform — GOLF+ Sim — that will run natively on Meta Quest headsets with no gaming PC required. Connect your launch monitor to the Quest via Bluetooth, and the Quest runs the sim software itself. No $1,000 gaming PC. No Windows updates. No driver conflicts. A Quest 3 is $499. This could be the cheapest path to a high-quality sim setup that exists. Full story →

GOLF+ also has exclusive rights to Royal Birkdale — host of The 154th Open — as a VR/sim experience. If you play GSPro, E6, or TGC 2019, you will not get to play Royal Birkdale as an official Championship experience. That is a GOLF+ exclusive. The company is positioning itself as the premium destination for officially licensed major championship venues in VR.

Key products: GOLF+ VR (VR golf on Meta Quest, 40+ courses, multiplayer, $29.99 base + course packs), GOLF+ Sim (standalone sim platform for Quest, launch monitor compatible, no gaming PC required — coming 2027). The current VR version supports third-party launch monitors for shot input, while GOLF+ Sim will be a complete sim platform with course play, practice modes, and mixed reality putting.
