"You're not building a simulator. You're buying a launch monitor and a net and seeing if this whole thing is for you. And that's the smartest move you can make."
What You're Buying
Indoor + outdoor. Radar-based. 8+ hours range. It's the gateway drug for a reason.
Best portable net. Folds flat. Pops up in 30 seconds. Wife-approved because it disappears.
Cheap enough to start. Not so cheap your elbows hate you after 50 swings.
Free with the R10. Driving range data only, but it's real data and it'll hook you.

Frequently Un-Asked Questions
Why don't you recommend the same LM for every tier?+
Because different budgets deserve different trade-offs. At $500, the R10 is the gateway drug. At $2,500, the SkyTrak+ hits the sweet spot between accuracy and space needs. At $5,000, the Mevo Gen2 gives you tour-level data for half the price of a GC3. Each tier has a winner. We picked them.
What about subscriptions? Aren't those a scam?+
Some are. GSPro at $250/year is the best value in sim golf — 4,000 courses for the price of two rounds at your local muni. SkyTrak+'s $199/yr game improvement plan is optional. Mevo Gen2 and Bushnell Launch Pro have no mandatory subs. We call out subscription costs in every tier so you're not surprised.
Can I mix and match between tiers?+
Absolutely. Want the Mevo Gen2 from the $5K tier with the Carl's Place enclosure from the $3.5K tier and the budget gaming PC from the $2.5K tier? Go for it. The tiers are starting points, not rules. The important thing is you're building something that gets you swinging.
Wait — the $500 tier doesn't include a projector?+
At $500, you're using your phone or an iPad to see your data. The R10 streams everything to the Garmin Golf app. It's not a full-screen sim experience — but it IS real data, real swing feedback, and it costs less than a driver. When you're ready for the full IMAX experience, come back and pick the $3.5K tier.
I don't have room for a full enclosure. Help?+
Check our Space Calculator — enter your room dimensions and we'll tell you exactly which launch monitors and setups work. You only need 10ft depth and 8ft ceilings for most setups. Your garage probably already has it.
